The project consists of building up a new floor over the existing building and expanding it to the North with two new wings symmetrical to the existing composition of the building. The yard is planned so it can serve the needs of seven groups of children and to preserve maximum amount of the existing trees, pavements and the already existing five individual playgrounds with sandboxes.
On the new, third floor are planned a-symmetrically placed separate spaces in the day rooms for the two new groups of children. The purpose of these spaces is to create individualism in the overall area and to create livelier indoor climate, suitable for the older children with higher interest in the study and creative process. With the help of the parents can be built two storey “tree houses” in those spaces, which will create more interesting environment for the children to play and learn. The facade of these spaces and the bay areas of the gym and the music room contrast to the rest with their warm color. The facade is covered with mineral coat. The overall design, shape and space of the building give the feeling of warmth and comfort.
